Trafficable Waterproofing Protection for Exposed Architectural Surfaces

ALKA-917 is a high-performance polyurethane membrane flooring system engineered to provide both waterproofing protection and a durable trafficable surface for exposed architectural areas.

The system combines a high-performance epoxy primer with a flexible polyurethane waterproofing membrane and a UV-stable protective wear coat, providing long-term protection against water penetration, weather exposure and regular pedestrian traffic.

The flexible polyurethane membrane accommodates normal substrate movement and provides crack-bridging capability, while the ALKA-210 UV-stable wear coat protects the system against exterior exposure and provides a durable, easy-to-maintain finished surface.

SYSTEM BUILD-UP

ALKA-917 is a multi-layer trafficable waterproofing system applied over mechanically prepared concrete.

The system typically consists of an ALKA-100 Primer, followed by an ALKA-305 / ALKA-212 polyurethane membrane forming the flexible waterproofing layer.

The system is then finished with an ALKA-210 UV Wear Coat, providing a durable, weather-resistant and trafficable surface suitable for exposed applications.

An anti-slip aggregate broadcast can be incorporated where increased slip resistance is required.

Typical System Thickness: 1.0–2.5 mm
Final thickness is project-specific depending on waterproofing, membrane and traffic requirements.
